The chosen
organisation is…
A social enterprise start-up dedicated to challenging the underrepresentation of young women in the news industry worldwide. Missing Perspectives is a platform giving young women around the world a voice by publishing articles on the missing perspectives that are often overlooked by mainstream media.
We’re so excited to be working with the team at Missing Perspectives and helping them to increase their global social impact – we’re jumping out of our skins.

Our team of Melons care deeply about doing good in the world, so we created the Melons for Good Partnership. A partnership with an organisation who are committed to an environmental or social cause, and we offer our creative talents to give their cause the best chance to drive change.
So we set out to find this important partner…

Like most Australians, we care about the impact of environmental and social issues on our future.
The response was amazing!
In just a few weeks, over 50 organisations expressed their interest. They ranged from start-ups to scale-ups, not-for-profits to social enterprises, with a focus on sustainability, minority groups, animal protection, cultural connection, social issues, renewables, and mental health, just to name a few.

In just a few weeks, over 50 organisations expressed their interest. They ranged from start-ups to scale-ups, not-for-profits to social enterprises, with a focus on sustainability, minority groups, animal protection, cultural connection, social issues, renewables, and mental health, just to name a few.
How did we decide?
Going through all the applications, we were blown away by how much passion, dedication and commitment to making the world a better place is happening, and that’s just here on the east coast.
The decision process was tough – we were looking for an organisation:
- who aligned with our values
- had a cause we could help the most
- where the result of our partnership would drive real positive change
We’re grateful to all that applied and thankful for all the work they’re doing. Believe us, it was one of the hardest decisions we’ve ever had to make – we wish we could work with all of them, but we had to choose just one…
